Back in 2003, the life sciences sector was globalizing at pace. As trials became more international, and regulatory requirements more complex, clients were struggling to find providers with the expertise the sector demanded.
Conversis was founded as a specialist translation partner who really understood the industry. Our purpose was to give clients a level of focus, care, and expertise they weren’t getting from their generalist providers.
We focused entirely on life sciences, building our processes, tools, and workflows around it. We filled our team with sector experts, built out quality processes to fit the requirements of life sciences, and even acquired a regulatory and pharmacovigilance agency to reinforce this part of the business.
More than 20 years later, that focus hasn’t changed.

Over the years, Conversis has grown significantly – expanding our numbers, our global footprint, and our specialist capabilities. Today, we are a team of project managers, technology experts, and standards specialists, all with years of experience navigating the intricacies of the sector.
Our in-house team is supported by a network of 3,000+ life sciences linguists. Each linguist is a subject matter expert and has been vetted extensively by our vendor management team. They allow us to provide services across 330+ language combinations and 110 countries.

Unlike some of the super agencies, we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach and are led by what we observe, discuss, and agree with each client.
From our inception as a company, we have been innovation-led in our approach. Our people are encouraged to continuously question why they do things a certain way, and consider where value could be added through innovation. This has resulted in the creation of many efficiency tools and AI automations over the years. Latterly, this has come to include AI translation, where it adds value.
