Over 3.6 million children in the United States don’t have access to good quality, affordable health care. Garett Mullen is doing something about it.
The future of the NHS is a hot topic during any UK election campaign and this one is no exception. Today, though, we’re sparing a thought for our friends across the Atlantic who may not have access to free or even affordable healthcare. With federal funding for medical research declining in the United States, and healthcare costs rising, the danger of patients slipping through the system’s cracks is very real.
The Children’s Hospital in Aurora, Colorado, relies on charitable support to deliver care for those most in need. In 2018, donations enabled this excellent hospital to care for 234,000 children. 2019 has seen a similar story unfold of generous aid funding impeccable care, and this month we’re proud to say that Conversis Localisation Engineer Garett Mullen is playing his part.
During the month of November, Garett is joining with thousands of gamers in dedicating a day to playing games and raising funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, which raises awareness and money for 170 hospitals across the United States and Canada. Garett is taking part on Extra Life, a gaming and DIY fundraising platform. In his words:
"Over 3.6 million children in the United States don’t currently have access to good quality, affordable health care. If they have an accident, catch a virus or fall victim to random disease, they and their parents are immediately put in a position that no one deserves to be in. If I can make a contribution to the children of Colorado it’s my privilege to do it".
100% of the donations you make will go direct to Garett’s chosen hospital. Your money will give children health, hope and a future.
