It's no surprise that Wales felt at home in the Toyota Stadium today.
WALES 43-14 GEORGIA
Wales began their Rugby World Cup campaign in style today with a comfortable win over Georgia that included a first half blitz of 29 points - and four tries - without reply.
It's no surprise that Welsh players quickly felt at home. The warm welcome of their hosts was enhanced by playing at the City of Toyota Stadium in Aichi, on the turf of a company that's been a good friend to Wales for three decades. Toyota began manufacturing automotive engines in Deeside in 1992, and well over 5 million engines have been produced through the combined Japanese and Welsh commitment to quality.
Toyota City is home to a cluster of automotive manufacturing plants and also to 420,000 people, making it more populous than any city in Wales. Today it was also home to Wales's first step towards what they hope will be a long-overdue appearance in a Rugby World Cup final.
