Gary founded Conversis in 2003 with the idea of advancing the understanding and use of localisation and translation as a strategic business tool.
In Gary's own words: ‘I hope we have created a business that has a positive impact on all our partners, shareholders, staff, clients suppliers and the wider community. We're genuinely fascinated by the work we do and we relish the opportunity to meet the challenges that working with diverse cultures brings.’
Gary is an advisor to the APPG on Modern Languages and has been on the advisory board of two translation charitable organisations, The Rosetta Foundation and Translators without Borders. He is a previous Chair of GALA the leading trade association in the localisation industry and regularly speaks on all aspects of commercial globalisation.
Emma has been with Conversis for over 5 years, having previously worked in Project Management at another translation company for several years. Emma is currently Team Leader of the Corporate Project Management team at Conversis.
Ian leads a team of engineers and developers to provide progressive technology-based solutions for each localisation project. Nineteen years of industry experience make him an expert in workflow automation, localisation engineering, and testing protocols.
Jon has worked for Conversis’ parent company for 21 years, and as Finance Director for the past 7 years. He has been Finance Director of Conversis since 2015.
Kim has a master’s degree in Translation Studies and 11 years' experience in the translation industry, in particular within life sciences. She oversees the handling of all Conversis’ client accounts, as well as the company’s sales and business development activities.
Nico has been working in the printing, graphic arts, design and desktop publishing industry for 35 years, 14 of them in Conversis. His experience, commitment, enthusiasm, determination and know-how with a focus on quality and detail have been key in the success of the Conversis DTP Team.
As QA Supervisor with many years of experience in the language industry and dealing with various industry sectors, Karin is responsible for ensuring that we match the right skills to our clients’ complex requirements, and provide the highest level of quality.
With more than 12 years’ experience in a number of roles within the translation industry, Sally has worked as a Translator, Reviewer, Project Coordinator, Project Manager and is currently Team Leader of the Medical Project Management team at Conversis.
Sam deals with the strategy, implementation and maintenance of the IT systems that underpin our daily operations. This technology is key to our efficiency, enabling us to connect to our clients and engage with our vast database of international resources.
